Darius Henderson has been handed an encouraging verdict on the knee injury that cost him his place on Tuesday night.

And the £2m striker who only joined the Blades in pre-season could be playing again by the end of the month.

Kevin Blackwell was forced into a recall for James Beattie when Henderson suffered the setback in training on Monday, but revealed the scan results on Wednesday afternoon:

"It turns out that it is not the conventional, time consuming knee ligament injury but more some damage to the fibres in the ligament.

"That is much better news and a great boost for us all because I am hopeful that it might only take a couple of weeks to heal."
