Morgs in mix

Posted on: Tue 26 Aug 2008

Blades skipper Chris Morgan has been cleared for a possible recall at Huddersfield in the Carling Cup on Wednesday night.

Kevin Blackwell has confirmed that the skipper had received the all clear from a neurosurgeon to commence training having missed the Blackpool fixture after a head injury.

He added: "There will be changes because I need to give lads games to make sure that everyone is match sharp for whenever they are needed.

"When injuries, loss of form or suspensions bite we need players who can come in fresh and up to speed so that we can maintain our winning run.

"I am fortunate to be in a position where I can make changes because I have such a big squad and the team I put out will be very strong.

"It will be one that could easily take the field against Cardiff next Saturday and I will go out on a limb and say that if we lose on Wednesday it will be because we are not good enough, not because of the changes.
