On the road with the Blades

Posted on: Tue 01 Jun 2010

Following Millwall's success at Wembley last weekend, the line-up for next year's Championship is complete and Blades fans will cover over 5,000 miles watching their team on the road next term.

Despite Sheffield Wednesday's relegation to League One, United will still have eight Yorkshire derbies pencilled into their schedule against Barnsley, Doncaster, Hull and Leeds, whilst trips to Glanford Park, Pride Park and the City Ground often see a good following from the Lane.

The Blades' longest trip is to the Liberty Stadium to face Paulo Sousa's Swansea, whilst a second trip to the Cardiff City Stadium was assured after the Bluebirds lost to Blackpool in the play-off final last month.

Unitedites can also look forward to a long trip the south coast, a 400+ mile round trip for those supporters following Kevin Blackwell's charges to Fratton Park to play newly-relegated Portsmouth.
