Danny Wilson is hoping that his telephone remains quiet over the weekend as the January transfer deadline fast approaches.
The Blades boss is happy with what he has at his disposal at the present time and although he is actively looking for reinforcements, he is refusing to panic buy:
"It is still quiet, which is good for us. If we get through the next few days without losing anyone it will be like a new signing for me.
"We are trying to bring players in, but we have been knocked back a bit. The lad Fleck turned us down for Blackpool, but it has to be players of the right calibre.
"We aren't going to sign players for the sake of it, individuals might not be right for us and the squad we have at the moment has been fantastic, with even more to offer.
"(Blackpool's) Billy Clarke remains on our radar but we don't know whether they are willing to let him out or not, for us it would have to be a loan and for them they want to sell him.
"Throwing money at players doesn't always work because you could get the wrong players and the wrong blend."
Meanwhile, the Gaffer believes Ched Evans extending his stay at the Lane beyond the summer, when his current deal expires, remains a realistic possibility:
"We could offer Ched a new contract, but not on his current terms. We will have to see what happens in the summer, but he is enjoying his football and that means a lot to him."
