Skipper - put it down to experience +freePlayer

Posted on: Tue 10 Aug 2010

Chris Morgan is backing Matt Lowton to return from his sending-off at Cardiff City as a wiser individual.

A short clip of Morgan's interview is available for free to the right. BladesPlayer.TV subscribers can watch the full exclusive video.

The red-card he received for a challenge on Kevin McNaughton was seen by some as harsh, but the skipper insists it is part and parcel of the development process of a young pro.

Morgan, though, says Lowton's attitude, coupled with the advice he has received, will make sure the Academy graduate bounces back a stronger person:

"He made a decision to go in full-blooded as did their lad and when you watch it nobody went in to hurt anybody, but he must learn from this type of thing and I am sure he will.

"A few of the lads spoke to him straight after the game on Sunday, along with the Gaffer and 'Speedo', but it is all part of Matty's learning curve.

"The lad has got good people around him who will help him bounce back, but the biggest disappointment for him personally is that he now misses three games after working so hard to get in the team."
