Power to the fans as Blades launch partnership.

From today new npower customers and Blades supporters have the chance to opt for a 7% saving by choosing to switch to npower's new Football Saver tariff. Fans can also earn £45 cash back.

Launched to celebrate npower's new partnership with the Football League, the tariff is the cheapest direct debit deal available offline for dual fuel customers*. 'npower Football Saver' is guaranteed to be 7% cheaper than npower standard direct debit rates until 30th September 2011.

And, for United supporters there's the added bonus of a £45 voucher to redeem.

'npower Football Saver' is on average £68 per year cheaper than the British Gas standard monthly direct debit dual fuel offering, and over £90 cheaper than the Scottish & Southern Energy equivalent.

Sheffield United Operations Manager Emma Wyle said: "This is an exciting partnership for all Sheffield United fans. They can make substantial savings on their fuel bills and put the voucher towards match tickets such as the Estudiantes game, the new season's strip which will be available shortly, hospitality at the Lane or towards a season ticket.

Giuseppe Di Vita, managing director of customer markets at npower said: "When designing this tariff we wanted to achieve two goals; first to lend a hand to local football clubs across the country, second to offer a competitive offline tariff for new npower customers.

"We've scored on both fronts with the free £45 voucher to be spent at the Club, and with the cheapest direct debit offering available offline to average customers."
