Guess who's training?

Posted on: Fri 02 Jul 2010

Rob Kozluk could make a surprise return to Sheffield United - but any decision will be based on what he can still offer rather and not just on what he achieved in his eight year spell at Bramall Lane.

The 32 year old who left for Oakwell three years ago is a free agent after being released by Barnsley this summer, and he joined the Blades squad on the first full day of training on Thursday.

With Kevin Blackwell running the rule over several players who might fit the bill as defensive reinforcements, the popular right-back could be in the running but knows that he will have to impress all over again:

"I am looking to make a decision purely based on football and there will be no favours for 'Kozzy' because I have known him before

"But if he can shape up and do the sort of job I think he can do then we can sit down and chat - if not, then I am happy to help him get fit.

"Rob is a lively character around the dressing room and he adds something else that you can't really buy, although he has got to get a deal here on merit."
