The new football season is up and running and it promises to be another busy week for the Blades.

On Monday night a youthful second string will travel to Bracken Moor to face Stocksbridge Park Steels, kick-off 7.30pm.

On Wednesday, Kevin Blackwell takes his troops to Victoria Park for the Carling Cup first round tie against League One outfit Hartlepool United, managed by former Sheffield Wednesday boss Chris Turner, kick-off 7.45pm.

The U18s complete their pre-season preparations at Shirecliffe on Friday when they host Leicester City, kick-off time to be confirmed.

Then on Saturday it is the first home npower Championship fixture of the 2010/2011 campaign, as the Blades welcome QPR to Bramall Lane, kick-off 3pm.
