Sheffield United have teamed up with international law firm Kennedys in a three-season sponsorship deal.
Kennedys Law LLP, due to open a major new office in Sheffield before the start of the next football season, are the new sponsors of The Kop at the club's Bramall Lane stadium.
The Kennedys Kop sponsorship deal was unveiled by Suzanne Liversidge, a senior partner in Kennedys' 70-strong team in the city, and Sheffield United's chief executive, Trevor Birch.
Suzanne and Trevor can be seen launching this exciting sponsorship on BladesPlayer, or a short clip from Suzanne can be seen for free to the right.
The Blades, the third best supported team in the Championship last season, continue to be a strong force off the field as they seek to return to the Premier League.
Mr Birch said: "Attracting Kennedys, one of the fastest growing law firms in the country and the current UK law firm of the year, shows the strength of our ambition. This is a partnership which will further build both brands in the region."
Kennedys have agreed with Sheffield United chairman Kevin McCabe's worldwide property group Scarborough Group to take 16,700 sq feet of office space over two floors at the flagship Sheffield Digital Campus site - held in a Joint Venture company between Scarborough and national partners GMI Property Company.
Including Suzanne, Kennedys have hired a total of eleven Partners, largely from the Sheffield office of Halliwells, where Suzanne was a driving force behind the growth of the office. Kennedys offer specialist corporate and commercial legal services with a particular focus on dispute resolution and litigation, to a client base of leading public and private companies.
Commenting on the Kennedys Kop sponsorship, Suzanne, a leading businesswoman in the city and junior vice-president of the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce, said: "We are delighted to be teaming up with the Blades as part of our goal to be an integral part of the business community throughout the Sheffield city region and Yorkshire.
"On a personal note I am delighted to be joining forces with United - a club I have supported since childhood. Kennedys believes in providing 'legal advice in black and white' so for me, this sponsorship truly means 'legal advice in red and white'," added Suzanne.
From its origins in the City of London, Kennedys is today an expanding, international law firm comprising 137 partners and over 800 lawyers and staff, with additional offices in Auckland, Belfast, Birmingham, Cambridge, Chelmsford, Dubai, Hong Kong, Madrid, Maidstone, Manchester, Singapore, Sydney and Taunton.
Also, Kennedys has a network of associated offices around the world situated in Abu Dhabi, Delhi, Dublin, Lisbon, Karachi, Mumbai, New York, Paris, Santiago and Warsaw.
Kennedys last year entered the 'Top 50', as ranked by the leading industry magazine,'The Lawyer'. At the 2010 'Legal Business Awards', Kennedys was named 'Insurance Team of the Year' and overall 'Law Firm of the Year'."
