Nick Montgomery is Sheffield United's Player of the Year.
At the club's annual Player of the Year awards the popular midfield player took the top title and also shared the honours in the players' Player of the Year section.
Before a big audience in the club's Platinum Suite won a landslide victory in the Player of the Year category, selected by Blades supporters in a poll during the last few weeks of the season. He polled 50% of the votes.
Victor Bonett, presenting the award on behalf of the sponsors the Malta Tourism Authority, said:
"Nick has had a remarkable season, becoming not only a crowd favourite but an essential figure in the Blades line-up,
"He plays with his heart on his sleeve, never shirks a challenge and plays through the pain barrier - literally. He is the embodiment of Sheffield United.
"He has now represented United more than 300 times in his career and this season scored his first league goal for the Blades in almost five years."
Monty, as he is known to teammates and fans alike, said: "This has been a tremendous night - one that I will always remember. The recognition from teammates and supporters alike is something very special and helps make up for the disappointment of not making the play-offs.
The Blades midfielder was also a joint winner with Richard Cresswell in the GAC Logistics Players' Player of the Year award beating off the challenge of Chris Morgan, Jamie Ward and Stephen Quinn.
However, honours came the way of Morgan and Ward when they shared the East Midlands Trains Community Player of the Year.
The Westfield Health Special Recognition Award went to two of United unsung heroes -Glen Nortcliffe, head groundsman at Bramall Lane and his counterpart Kelly Barrowclough at the Academy.
Both joined United as 16-year-olds. Glen, who is now in his 25th year with the club, has overseen the immaculate Bramall Lane pitch for first and reserve team games, internationals and even Rugby League despite the worst winter in 30 years. Kelly, now in his 23rd year with the Blades, has this season prepared pitches for 130 games at the Academy.
The Pinders Digital Print Solution highlight of the season award acknowledged the Help for Heroes game (Peterborough) which honoured the brave servicemen and women in Afghanistan and Iraq.
War hero and a true Blade Nick Gibbons and principal organiser from the Help for Heroes charity Tony Eaton received the award. Nick, a close friend of Kyle Walker, lost a leg in Afghanistan. He was the focal point of United Help for Heroes fundraising game against Peterborough when he came out onto the pitch and presented the match ball.
The Halliwells Goal of the Season went to Richard Cresswell for his 'cheeky' goal against Plymouth.
