Tottenham Hotspur have recalled Kyle Walker to White Hart Lane.

The Premiership club, who concluded a deal last summer,to purchase Walker and Kyle Naughton, contacted the Blades 50 minutes before Monday's 5pm transfer deadline to exercise their right take the England U20s defender.

Efforts by Blades officials to dissuade Spurs continued through to the deadline but to no avail.

Kevin Blackwell, in charge of the team at Watford tonight, has Derek Geary and new signing Nyron Nosworthy as possibilities to replace Walker, who was en route to Vicarage Road with the Blades team when Spurs first made contact.
