Blades midfielder Kyel Reid has joined League One promotion hopefuls Charlton Athletic on loan for the rest of the season.

The former West Ham youngster was Kevin Blackwell's first permanent signing of the season last summer.

But he has failed to make a meaningful impression this campaign, starting just one game against Port Vale in the Carling Cup and coming on seven times as a substitute in the league.

The loan is scheduled to run until 31st May, meaning Reid would be eligible for the Play-Offs should the Addicks be involved.
