Blades sign Cresswell

Posted on: Tue 29 Sep 2009

The Blades have clinched the loan signing of Stoke City striker Richard Cresswell in time to be involved in tonight's match with Ipswich Town.

The 32 year old from Bridlington started at York City and also played for the Owls, Leicester City, Preston and Leeds United before joining Stoke City two years ago for an undisclosed fee.

He arrives at the lane on a three month deal and will strengthen United's attacking force following the injuries to Keith Treacy and Jamie Ward.
