Keep the Derby safe

Posted on: Wed 16 Sep 2009

The Sheffield Football derby is a unique event that generates intense passion and emotion, an occasion which requires a comprehensive policing and stewarding operation to ensure a safe and enjoyable event.

With that in mind it is perhaps pertinent to remind supporters about some aspects of the Club's admissions policy.

No-one will be allowed entry to the stadium with any articles which could be thrown or used as a missile, or indeed which could be used to cause injury to another.

No one will be allowed entry with any face covering.

No one will be allowed entry with any article which could incite others or provoke confrontation.

In addition a number of other initiatives will be employed to ensure a trouble free evening. Our comprehensive range of CCTV cameras will be deployed and fully operational.

Everyone should be aware that these cameras have the capability of depicting high definition images of everyone in the stadium and will be used as evidence in the event of any misconduct.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our supporters for their continued support and ensure them that we will continue to provide an environment which is safe for everyone.
