Bunn deal extended

Posted on: Mon 24 Aug 2009

United have agreed a deal with Blackburn Rovers to keep Mark Bunn until January.

The initial month's loan - to cover for Paddy Kenny's suspension - will now continue until 1st January, thanks to the agreement of Rovers manager Sam Allardyce.

United chief Kevin Blackwell said: "We are indebted to Sam because we know he will have been concerned about leaving his own club short of cover.

"Getting Mark in for longer is a big relief considering the position we find ourselves in. He has settled, done well and his presence will maintain continuity instead of having to start all over again."

Bunn, 24, who has quickly impressed in United's start to the season, conceding just twice in four games, indicated at the end of last week that he would be happy to extend his stay at Bramall Lane.
