John Hassall - 1927-2009

Sheffield United is saddened to report the death of former chairman, John Hassall.

Mr Hassall was chairman of the Blades between 1974 and 1981, during which time the South Stand was built at Bramall Lane.

The club intend to include an article about Mr Hassall in the matchday programme against West Bromwich Albion next weekend.

All at Sheffield United would like to pass on condolences to his family and friends.
