Ched Evans has been handed United's prestigious number nine shirt.

The new season's squad numbers have been submitted to the Football League.

All of the new signings - including Leigh Bromby, Glen Little and Kyle Walker - have been allocated numbers.

There has also been a switch around with Nick Montgomery, David Cotterill and Lee Hendrie all acquiring new numbers.

Due to injuries, Gary Speed and Derek Geary have not been allocated but will do so when they are in contention for first team places.
