The Blades have once again been chosen to kick-off the Championship season - but it means a change of date for the opening fixture.

United's trip to face recently-relegated Middlesbrough has been brought forward to Friday 7th August with a 8.00pm kick-off and will be shown live on Sky Sports. The game was originally scheduled for Saturday 8th August.

It's the second consecutive season that United have been selected for live TV in the first game of the Championship season against a recently-relegated club.

Last season, of course, the Blades were undone by a very late goal after an impressive performance a Birmingham City.
