Red and white Wembley

Posted on: Tue 19 May 2009

The Blades have won the right to wear red next Monday - and the Club is appealing for Blades fans to turn Wembley into a sea of Sheffield United colours.

Whilst Burnley - who wore their traditional claret at Bramall Lane this season - have to wear blue shirts for the Play-Off Final, United will play in their home colours for the Premiership showdown.

Chris Morgan says: "Of course it means a lot to us to wear our normal kit and I'm sure that our fans will be pleased about that as well - it helps us all identify with each other, I suppose.

"Now we just need as many Blades as possible to wear and wave as much red and white at Wembley as possible - for as long as possible - throughout the game.

"We don't get the opportunities to play at the national stadium often enough to waste the chance to try and turn it into Bramall Lane for the day!"
