What a first
The big kick-off chosen by Kop season ticket holder Craig Barkworth was, naturally enough, three o' clock.
For a football fan that was appropriate enough - but it was three in the morning and not the traditional 3pm!
That was the time he became front of the queue for when the Blades Wembley Play Off Final tickets went on sale at 9am on Wednesday
Although already guaranteed his Wembley tickets through his loyalty points, the High Green man made sure that he was off and away within seconds of the doors opening, with the queue behind him snaking round the car park.
"It has been more than worth it because I can now get on with travel arrangements and other plans for the big day," said Craig who will be accompanied by his two sons.
He added: "There were about ten of us within 45 minutes or so and the waiting - and the cold - wasn't too bad until it got a bit chilly at about 6.30am.
"It doesn't seem as if I have waited six hours, but the final three quarters of an hour dragged the most!"
Craig's family are all Owls fans but he has steadfastly remained a Blade, even standing in his United shirt on the Sheffield Wednesday Kop at six years old.
After watching the unsuccessful big games in play-off and FA Cup matches at the old Wembley, Old Trafford and the Millennium Stadium he - like the rest of us - reckon the Blades are due a celebration this time:
"The game the other night against Preston was fantastic and more of the same at Wembley would surely please all us fans."
