Reserve team defender Maxime Chanot has extended his loan deal at Mansfield Town for a further month.

The 18-year-old joined the Stags on an initial one-month deal in October and has made five starts for the Field Mill outfit, with the Frenchman scooping the man-of-the-match award on his debut against Woking.

Maxime told mansfieldtown.net: "My last month has been a good experience. The players are really nice to me. They know I was foreign and don't speak very good English.

"The games in this league are much quicker and stronger than what I have been used to."
