Sheffield United and Barnsley FC have today at 7pm agreed the loan transfer and eventual transfer of the registration of Brian Howard to Sheffield United.

Sheffield United ask for the understanding of both sets of fans after what have been difficult but co-operative negotiations, and we have agreed that Barnsley FC will be responsible for publicising all details of the agreements.

There will be no further statement issued by Sheffield United.
