Blades marksman Luton Shelton continued where he left off for Jamaica on Monday, as he scored an eight-minute hat-tick in the Reggae Boys' 6-0 thrashing of the Bahamas in the return-leg of their CONCACAF second-round World Cup qualifier.

This victory, coupled with the earlier 7-0 success in which Shelton bagged a double, enabled the Jamaicans to coast through to the next phase of qualification - they will join Honduras, whilst Mexico and Canada look the other likely qualifiers.

The pacey striker opened his account in the 35th minute, when he rounded the oncoming keeper, after Rudolph Austin had sent him clear.

He added his second two minutes later, converting from the spot following Ricardo Gardner's lung bursting run into the box.

Shelton completed his treble just before the break, as he powered home after beating the offside trap. Sheffield Wednesday striker Deon Burton also grabbed a double, with the other goal coming from Tyrone Marshall.
