International round-up

Posted on: Thu 27 Mar 2008

None of United's players on international duty in midweek tasted defeat.

Wingers Keith Gillespie and David Carney both played full 90 minutes. Gillespie starred in Northern Ireland's 4-1 friendly win over Georgia, whilst Carney was in World Cup qualifying action as Australia drew 0-0 with China.

Gary Naysmith played just over an hour in Scotland's draw with England's conquerors, Croatia, whilst loanee David Cotterill came on as a replacement in Wales' 2-0 success in Luxembourg.

Stephen Quinn also played a full game as Republic of Ireland's under 21s drew a UEFA qualifier with Montenegro, whilst Luton Shelton was part of the Jamaican squad that drew 2-2 in a friendly with Trinidad and Tobago in Kingston.
