Curtis' tribute win

Posted on: Mon 17 Mar 2008

Curtis Woodhouse clocked up his fifth straight victory as a professional boxer in his first appearance at the Sheffield United Academy on Sunday.

The former Blades midfielder, still playing part-time with Rushden and Diamonds, is bidding to win a British Welterweight title and stopped Lee Seawright after three rounds having already dropped his man.

Woodhouse, who entered the ring wearing a United shirt and to the strains of the Greasy Chip Buttie anthem, immediately grabbed the microphone and dedicated his win to Derek Dooley who died earlier in the month.
