Blades International update

Posted on: Wed 21 Nov 2007

Chris Armstrong and Stephen Quinn were both in international action on Tuesday evening, for their respective countries.

Armstrong completed a full game on his international bow as Scotland B drew 1-1 with Republic of Ireland B at The Excelsior Stadium, Airdrie.

Aberdeen's Richie Byrne headed the Irish in front just after the hour, only for Derby County striker Steven Howard to level seven minutes from time.

Meanwhile, Quinn completed 83 minutes as the Republic of Ireland U21 secured their first three points of the UEFA Championship qualifying campaign, with a 1-0 win over their Bulgarian counterparts at Athlone, with Watford's John-Joe O'Toole scoring the only goal of the game.
