Posted on: Fri 16 Nov 2007

The Blades have a number of players on international duty this week with Gary Naysmith possibly playing in the biggest game of his career.

Naysmith faces a career-defining match having been included in Scotland's squad for the crucial Euro 2008 qualifier with Italy at Hampden on Saturday.

Keith Gillespie will wear his Northern Ireland colours for the final two qualifiers against Denmark in Belfast and in Spain.

Young midfielder Stephen Quinn has been named in the Republic of Ireland U21 squad for their European Championship qualifier against Montenegro on Friday, whilst David Carney is with Australia preparing to face Nigeria in a friendly at Craven Cottage on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Luton Shelton has joined up with the Jamaican squad for their clash with El Salvador on Sunday.

And finally, Chris Armstrong has been called into the Scotland B squad for next Tuesday's match against their Republic of Ireland counterparts.
