Kenny a doubt

Posted on: Wed 24 Oct 2007

Paddy Kenny could be forced to miss his first game of the season on Saturday.

The Republic of Ireland International goalkeeper injured his shin in a collision with defender Gary Cahill in the first half of the 1-0 win at Leicester on Tuesday night.

An x-ray on Wednesday morning happily failed to reveal a fracture but manager Bryan Robson' relief was tinged with a precautionary word:

"It is just bruised which is good news but he is still a doubt for the weekend."

Ian Bennett, who took over from Kenny in midweek is poised to stand in again at Hull City.
