Injury woes continue

Posted on: Wed 03 Oct 2007

United's struggle to win points in recent games is being made even more difficult by other circumstances beyond their control, maintains Bryan Robson.

"We don't seem to be able to get through a game without picking up another injury," lamented the Blades boss, after seeing Keith Gillespie depart the action with a hamstring strain, adding:

"It will probably be a few weeks before he plays again. Derek Geary faces a knee operation in the next couple of days and, depending on how serious that turns out to be, he will also be out for some time.

"That's a pity because he is one of our best players but it has been troubling him for a while so we might as well get it done now."

Nick Montgomery's rib injury makes him a continued doubt for the weekend, and Gary Naysmith is also sidelined.
