Loan move for Annerson

Posted on: Fri 14 Sep 2007

Sheffield United's young goalkeeper Jamie Annerson has finally completed the paperwork to seal his loan move to Rotherham United.

The England U19 international will join the Millers for a three-month stint, following a serious shoulder injury to fellow goalkeeper, Stephen Cann.

Annerson began his Rotherham career with an impressive display for the reserves on Tuesday night, ironically against the Blades.

Millers boss Mark Robins is a big fan of the promising Sheffielder: "He's a nice lad, a very good talker to the rest of the defence and has all the attributes to be a very good goalkeeper."

Jamie will travel with the Millers squad to Wrexham on Saturday and will be hoping to put pressure on Andy Warrington for the number 1 jersey.
