Li Tie in China win

China have started the Asian Cup an emphatic 5-1 win over Malaysia and Blades midfielder Li Tie featuring in the success.

Li Tie was introduced as a second-half substitute, with China leading 4-0, with goals from Shao Jiayi, Wang Dong and a Hang Peng double. Wang Dong added a fifth in injury-time. Malaysia's consolation came thanks to Indra Putra Mahayuddin.

China's next game in the competition is against Iran on 15 July.
