Barnsley 3-2 Ferencvaros
Saturday 11th July

Ferencvaros completed their three match English tour with a narrow defeat at Oakwell.

There were plenty of chances at both ends in the first half, but the Tykes opened the scoring just before the break. El Haimour broke down the left and crossed for Bogdanovic to put the ball the back of the net. It was the Maltese striker's third goal of pre-season.

Fradi equalised on 57 mninutes, David Kulcsar shot from the edge of the area, and a wicked deflection left the Barnsley keeper a spectator.

Barnsley then took the initiative again, Odejayi curling a shot past Megyeri, and then Sodje double the lead with a header from 12 yards, on 82 minutes.

But Ferencvaros were'nt done, and pressured hard in the final minutes. Pisanjuk broke down the right wing before crossing to give ex-Blade Paul Shaw a tap in from four yards out. But it was too little too late with just three minutes remaining. Ferencvaros return to Hungary with an English record of one win, one draw, one defeat.
