Forget a kick about, how about a walk-about? That's what a junior football club thought for their latest fundraising event.
But football was still at the heart of Brampton Dynamos Under 10's march around Sheffield, when they stepped into Bramall Lane for an energy boost and inspiration.
The club which is part of Sheffield United's Junior Football Club (JFC) Partnership Scheme, walked 21 miles around Sheffield to raise funds for the club, with 15% of money raised going to Sheffield Children's Hospital.
Entering Bramall Lane along their journey, the team was privy to a look in the dressing rooms, as well as using Bramall Lane as a pit stop to refuel during the all-day walking event.
United's JFC Partnership Scheme helps local football teams raise money in various ways, including becoming an agent for United's lottery - the Blades Super Draw - where agents can earn a minimum of £780 a year and members have the opportunity to share in the £250,000 prize fund for just £1 per week.
The Blades also provide tickets to home league fixtures and the chance to gain kit sponsorship in a prize draw at the end of the season.
Starting at North Aston, the Brampton Dynamos players and parents walked past local landmarks including Bramall Lane, Hillsborough and Don Valley Stadium, so the team could see the grounds of their supported teams.
Richard Watson, manager of Brampton Dynamos U10s said: "What Sheffield United has done for us is truly amazing and has inspired all who are involved at the Brampton Dynamos Under 10 Team.
"Without the hospitality and backing we received from Sheffield United we really would have struggled to make it to the end. Sheffield United's community spirit is totally amazing and I would never have thought anything like this would come true for the team.
"Brampton Dynamos will never forget this and we would like to take this opportunity to say a massive thanks to Mick Rooker, Jordan Addy and all at the Lane.
Mick Rooker, promotions manager for the Blades also presented the managers Richard Watson & Wayne Henshaw along with the team with a signed shirt from the first team at Sheffield United. It will be auctioned off to help towards more fund raising for the club.
Mick Rooker said: "The Dynamos were very grateful we opened the doors to them as they had been walking without a break for many hours.
"As they were about half way through their 21 mile walk, we thought they'd be shattered. But the players were full of energy and really wanted to see around the ground and the pitch.
"We're glad we could help, as we try to help as many Junior Football Club's as possible in the Community."
