A group of primary school pupils have captured time at Sheffield United's Crookes Community Centre.
The 24 pupils, from Westways Primary School, Crookes, were invited by the club to place a time capsule in the roof of the Centre with objects they felt best reflected the school, pupils and local community.
School council representatives held a series of meetings with school peers to decide on the content of the capsule after taking guidance from Sheffield United's head of community Sue Beeley.
The capsule included information about living in Crookes, photos and information about the school, a school magazine, a booklet designed by year 4 pupils about Westways becoming an eco-school, and of course an old United shirt.
Carole Stothard, high level teaching assistant at Westways Primary School, said: "All of the representatives have been very enthusiastic and really enjoyed taking part in the project.
"The relationship with Sheffield United is fantastic for both the school and the local community. We are looking forward to working with them on future projects, especially the schools sports day which will be held at Crookes Community Centre in July."
Since linking up earlier this year, United coaches have provided in-school training sessions for Westways students and year 4 students helped the Crookes Centre's eco-policy when they planted trees at the Centre's grounds.
Mark Todd, Sheffield United's community development manager, said: "Westways is the Centre's local primary school, so we are keen to involve the school and the pupils in as many projects as we can.
"The children did a fantastic job with the capsule and put lots of thought into what items to include and are a credit to their school."
