Sun Jihai made his Chengdu debut as the Blades ran out comfortable winners over Shanxi Chanba in the Chinese Super League over the weekend.

Substitute Zhang Yuan was the hero for the home side netting a late double, as Chengdu moved up to 13th position in the table.

The Blades started the game brightly, controlling much of the first half with Sun immediately in thick of the action setting up Wang Song, who fired over from the edge of the box.

Manager Wang Baoshan's decision to replace skipper Wang Song paid dividends in the 82nd when ZHANG YUAN finally found a way past the Chanba defence.

Sun was involved moments later as the Blades made sure of the victory, the defender set up Liu Yu who in turn set up ZHANG YUAN to head home the second.

Wang Baoshan was understandably pleased after the match: "I am delighted with the result and all credit to the players. Our team spirit is high and now we must find that consistency to change our position in the table."
