Two second-half goals saw Chengdu Blades slip to a 2-1 home defeat against Changsha Jinde in round twelve of the Chinese Super League.

The Blades began brightly and tested the visitors' resolve after only three minutes. Feng Zhuoyi headed over the bar from a Yao Xia free-kick.

Their dominance was such that is was no surprise when RODRIGUES fired the Blades in front in the 19th minute after Wang Song had weaved through the defence.

Changsha were revitalised after the interval and duly equalised nine minutes into the second period through JEFFERSON.

Just five minutes later Jinde capitalised on a mistake in the Blades defence and ZHANG CHENGLIN beat Fu Bin from close-range.

Chengdu chased the game and had a couple of half-chances, but slipped to 15th position in the table just three points above bottom-placed Chongqing Lifan.

Coach Wang Baoshan admitted there is plenty of room for improvement, especially up front:

"We have got some problems scoring goals and we are failing to create many opportunities."
