Chengdu 2-1 Hangzhou Lvcheng - report
Chengdu Blades came from a goal down to secure their third home win of the season against Hangzhou Lvcheng in round ten of the Chinese Super League.
A Wang Song penalty restored parity after Cai Chuchang had given the visitors the lead in the first-half, before substitute Zou Yougen netted a winner for the Blades three minutes from time.
It was Hangzhou that had the first opportunity of the contest in the 8th minute, but Yan Song's powerful effort sailed fractionally over the bar.
Five minutes later Chengdu almost took the lead, through Wang Song following good work by Liu Yu, before getting caught by the sucker punch.
Ma Cheng's shot was only parried by Fu Bin and CAI CHUCHANG was perfectly placed to apply the finishing touch from close-range.
Blades manager Wang Baoshan replaced Zou Peng with Jiang Xiaoyu and that had the desired effect in the 60th minute.
Rodrigues powered into the box and when his progress was prematurely stopped by Jiang Bo it left the referee no option but to point to the spot. Skipper WANG SONG stepped up to score from twelve yards.
In the last twenty minutes, Chengdu worked tirelessly for a winner, with Shi Jun and Wang Song coming close in quick succession.
Three minutes from time their pressure was rewarded. Wang Song headed Jiang Xiaoyu's centre against the bar, but ZOU YOUGEN was on hand to secure all three points for the Blades.
