The Blades lost 2-0 to Shanghai Shenhua in round 20 of the CSL, although they put in a creditable performance against the second placed outfit.
The home side took the lead in the 24th minute, when RICHARD headed home Gao Lin's cross from the left, despite Fu Bin's best efforts.
Chengdu could have equalised almost immediately, but Shi Juan fired wide from a good position after a mix-up in the Shanghai defence.
GAO LIN the provider of the first goal doubled Shenhua's lead in the 53rd minute as he raced through the Blades backline before slotting the ball past Fu Bin.
Despite the visitors best efforts they were unable to break the home side, but in the end they could take positives from gritty performance.
