* Made 100 league starts

1983 Nottingham Forest
* Signed at the City Ground in January 1983 for £100,000
* Made 10 league appearances, before a loan spell at Scunthorpe United

1983-1987 Brighton & Hove Albion
* Signed in November 1983 for £450,000
* Scored 33 goals in 135 league appearances for the Seagulls

1987-1990 Luton Town
* League Cup winner in 1987/88 and runner-up in 1988/89

1990-1993 Sheffield Wednesday
* League Cup winner in 1990/91 and runner-up in 1992/93
* FA Cup runner-up in 1992/93
