Bill Dearden - Chief Scout

Another former Blade, Bill served United with distinction as a player between 1970 and 1975, scoring 72 goals. Since hanging up his boots he has held numerous positions, including manager of Port Vale, Notts County and Mansfield Town.

He returned to Bramall Lane as chief scout in 2011 and his brief is to manage United's band of scouts, watch future opponents and search for potential players.
