Hull City 0-3 Academy - match report

Posted on: Wed 28 Jul 2010

United's U18s continued their impressive pre-season campaign with a resounding success at Hull City.

Jordan Slew, with his fourth goal in his last two starts, opened the scoring, before Aussie Marc Warren and the impressive Terry Kennedy completed the scoring late on, to make it three wins from three for the youngsters.

United, in truth, dominated much of the game and could have won by a far greater margin, although the performance did draw praise from boss John Permberton, who again took the chance to give all of his players 45 minutes:

"It was another good effort from the lads who are really picking up on things we are working on in training.

"We looked solid at the back and played some good stuff going forward, that saw us create plenty of chances.

"We are delighted with how things are progressing ahead of the new season and from now on I will look to keep the team more settled after making sure all the lads have had their fair share of game time to date."
