Ben Davies and Chris Porter will both be at Bramall Lane for the 2014/15 Sky Bet League One after agreeing one-year deals on Monday, as United's squad continues to take shape.
The duo, both instrumental in the impressive second half to last season, have confirmed their desire to be part of Nigel Clough's plans for next season's promotion push.
Porter, 30, was a regular in the early part of Clough's tenure after returning from a loan stint at Chesterfield. The former Derby striker was also integral to United's FA Cup success last term, most notably netting twice as a substitute against Nottingham Forest.
Meanwhile, Davies 33, proved his worth and versatility having joined on-loan from Derby County in February.
The former Notts County operator, a set-piece specialist, scored a handful of valuable goals last season, including winning efforts against Rotherham and Coventry.
"Chris and Ben are well known to the coaching staff and we're delighted that they are on board for next season. Both contributed to our success last season and we hope they will do the same when we kick off the new campaign," said the Gaffer.
Porter and Davies signed their deals at Shirecliffe this morning (Monday).
The signings takes Clough's total for the summer to six following the captures of Marc McNulty, Jamal Campbell-Ryce, Chris Basham and Andy Butler.
