United chief Nigel Clough is amongst the nominations for February's Sky Bet League One Manager of the Month award.

In February, Clough's Blades suffered a disappointing defeat at Crewe before going on to win six successive games - including FA Cup victories over Fulham and Nottingham Forest.

"A frantically busy February combined four wins from five games with FA Cup progress as United embraced their manager's principles of hard work and solidarity. His team kept four clean sheets and moved up to mid-table," said Daily Mail's Football League columnist, Ivan Speck.

Also nominated for the Sky Bet League One award is Rotherham United's Steve Evans, Simon Grayson of Preston North End and Wolves chief Kenny Jackett.

The judging panel is chaired by former Football League manager Dave Bassett with Sky Sports' Football League expert Don Goodman; Football League Chief Operating Officer Andy Williamson; League Managers' Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Head of Football Paul Wiggins.

The winner will be announced on Friday (7th March).
