Connor Dimaio has become the third player from United’s Redtooth Academy to earn international recognition this month.

The young midfielder has been selected in the Republic of Ireland U19s squad that will face Norway in a friendly in Bray on Tuesday evening.

Dimaio's call-up comes after Academy youngster Jamie McDonagh and Jasper Johns were both included in the Northern Ireland U19s squad for a friendly against Scotland, that will also take place later this week.

Additionally, recently George Long (England) and Sean McGinty (Republic of Ireland) have been called up for U21s duty this week.

Meanwhile, United's U18s round off their pre-season preparations today (Monday), with an away fixture at Newcastle United.

The Blades U18s league campaign kicks-off on Saturday at Shirecliffe, with Leeds United the visitors, kick-off 11am.
