Blades v Bristol Rovers - team news

Chris Basham (suspended) and Leon Clarke (foot) are two definite absentees for Tuesday's Bramall Lane clash against Bristol Rovers.

Basham begins a three-match suspension following his sending off at Scunthorpe, whilst Clarke is expected to be sidelined for around four weeks, after a scan discovered a chipped bone in his foot.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Wilder revealed that he hopes defenders Jake Wright (knee) and James Wilson (ankle) will pass late fitness tests to face Darrell Clarke's Gas.

Reece Brown could make his debut depending on the fitness of the aforementioned duo, whilst Caolan Lavery is pushing for his first start as a Blade.

For the visitors, boss Clarke could name an unchanged starting XI following Saturday's win over Port Vale, although Chelsea loanee Jake Clarke-Salter could be drafted into the squad having returned to training following a knee injury.
